The weather here has been terrible for weeks on end now, with relentless rain meaning I’ve had very few trips out hill walking, and those I’ve had have been poor for photography, with little chance to even take the camera out of the bag. I haven’t been short of things to post as I’m still working on a backlog from the summer, but haven’t shot much recently. The withdrawal symptoms led me to start taking photos of the decorations in shopping centres, the baubles and ornaments for sale in a local shop, and some of the displays at Santa’s Grotto when we took our son.
A large display in the Foyleside Shopping Centre in Derry.
The next series were taken in our local Santa’s Grotto in Castlederg, with lots of Christmas displays, and also some colourful birdlife, not specifically related to Christmas, but interesting all the same.
Leaving the grotto, I thought some of the decorations for sale in the attached shop were worth a photograph.
A fierce looking snowman.
Merry Christmas to everybody that follows the blog, and anyone else that happens along.
Happy Christmas, Aidy!
Cheers Jessica, and hope you have a happy Christmas too!
