Nearing the end of our second day in Kerry, and we found ourselves back in Dingle having torn ourselves reluctantly away from the coastal drive, in search of food. We got some excellent fish and chips in Dingle, and had another short walk around before heading back towards Killarney.
We didn’t have time on this trip for taking a boat out in the hope of seeing Dingle’s famous dolphin Fungi, and had to make do with this bronze sculpture.
Another sculpture, this time of former Taoiseach (Prime Minister), Charles Haughey – a controversial figure it would be fair to say.
The harbour in late evening light.
The subjects of the rest of the photos here, are the fantastic lenticular clouds that graced the sky above Dingle that evening.
As we left Dingle, we had to stop just outside the town for a last shot of those clouds above the mountains. What a place!
