A final post from Muckross Traditional Farms in Killarney National Park, where we spent the first day our trip to Kerry. This time, some of the animals we saw on the working farms.
Colourful turkey.
The geese were very aggressive! Any approach to their enclosure led to a constant threatening hissing noise and fierce looks. We were very glad of the wire fence.
Young chicken.
The rooster.
This variety of goose was even more aggressive than the others. Not being able to get at us, they took out their anger on each other.
You could tell it was us they really wanted to have a go at though!
A much more placid goat.
Irish Wolfhound.
