Killybegs is a fishing port in Co. Donegal, with the largest fleet of trawlers in Ireland. On a summer day when the boats are in, it is a riot of colour.
An old shot from years ago on a different day.
The port also attracts many other visitors apart from tourists, hoping for a free meal.
Another old shot of a seal cruising the harbour.
A final shot from a previous visit in 2006.
The playpark was a must for my son, and this distorting mirror caught my eye.
This does look an attractive place to visit and, as you say, a riot of colour too. I particularly like the multi-colour stacked plastic fishing crates; the composition of the three boat hulls together; and the reflections in the playpark sculpture.
Almost overwhelming there was so much to choose from Jessica. That playpark was calling to my son, so didn’t have much time to really consider what to photograph, and there’s a lot to see.
